Our schools formal name is 12G12 - it is the 12th primary school within the 12th district. It is located in the west of the district of Reinickendorf, just two kilometers from Lake Tegel in the north of Berlin. It has been founded in 1974 as a local school within the community of Wittenau/Borsigwalde. A little more than 500 students from 6 to 12 years learn at our school. We have a very diverse group of students with kids from all kinds of ethnic backgrounds. Today, our school spirit and reputation attracts parents and pupils from the whole district.

We are very proud of our comitted teaching staff and our interested and ambitious students. The school has a strong tradition in social learning and wellbeing. There is an extra lesson for morning circle within the timetable every Monday morning, and class council is a part of every class from year 3/4 at the latest. 

Erasmus + V.A.N. is our first Erasmus partnership and has been a very rewarding experience for the students and teachers participating in it. The focus of this project, the development of emotional intelligence through creativity, has been among the main aims of the school, so it was a wonderful fit for us.
