Hilma af Klint (1862-1944) was a pioneer of abstract art as early as 1906. Her art has been shown at the Modern Museum in Stockholm and Malmö. With few exceptions, Hilma never exhibited her abstract works during her lifetime. She left us her innovative paintings in colour, scale and composition- which she hoped future audiences might be better able to sense and decode. Hilma created paintings for the future and that future is now.
22 classes in Mössebergsskolan have been inspired of Hilma af Klints art and have painted pictures in watercolor or cut out forms to create their own motives.
All the pictures were shown in the gymnasticshall.A local artist Dano Wilhelmsson chose to enlarge some of the childrens pictures. Dano made three large works of art and we put them on the wall in our school.
