The three countries worked indipendently at the stanzas, written in their own mother-tongue languages. It was a hard work, started during the Transnational Meeting in Italy, when French, Italian and Polish teachers started to learn the melody in a workshop led by Annarosa Toselli. The music of the hymn, written by Giulio Gallarate, was difficult but challenging and the teachers had fun in getting involved!
Here the French stanza:
French Stanza translated in English
The music that brings us together
Allows us to vibrate together
Across Borders
Without all these barriers
Let us all sing in unison for the love of the union
Come my friends for the song of our countries
Here the Italian stanza:
Italian Stanza translated in English
Music is freedom
That goes over the walls
Rainbow-Bridge across the World
Let's sing together
Crossing the borders
With a shared dream
Almost a magic spell
The music teacher Anna Rosa Toselli and the Italian teacher Brunella Pelizza led a creative-writing workshop: students learnt the basics for writing the lyrics of a song and put them into practice writing the Italian Stanza of the Erasmus Hymn!
Here the Polish stanza:
Polish refrain of the Erasmus+ hymn translated into English
Because you are untiting us today,
A common goal will guide us,
Always true to themselves,
We are going into the distance
To live without borders next to each other, because it is a common home,
Today Europe is like, a Thunder sung in hearts
