    The headmaster, a representative of the major,  teachers and families warmly welcome the Polish guests.

    Monday 11th March

    Workshops at school

    English workshop: Let's start to know each! other ice-break activities in English help students to get to know each other better and to develop linguistic skills. Students are motivated to speak in English and they realize how important can be to be able to be fluent in another language, motivating them in the study of foreign languages.

    Body Percussion Workshop: Let's play with our body

    Students experiment the relationship between music and movement. They use hands, feet and vocal sounds in different sequence, keeping the brain in high attention all the time!

    Art workshop: Let's paint on Sheet Music

    Students relax and feel comfortable, talk with their new friends and at the same time express themselves in an easy contest.

    Choir workshop

    Students have a rehearsal of Blowing in the wind, by Bob Dylan (it will be performed at the final concert), and learn E Malama, a traditional song from the Hawaii Islands. It is a prayer that celebrates the Earth with its natural beauties. It is our way to join Friday for Future!

    Lunch together! Thank you Poland for your beautiful presents!

    Tuesday 12th March

    Hiking in the mountains: A day of nature and friendship.

    Polish and Italian students/teachers have a guided hiking tour with the nature guides of “Parco del Monviso” and can admire the King of Stone of this land: Monviso.

    Wednesday 13th March

    Visit and workshop at “L’Atlante dei suoni” in Boves.

    Students take a journey around the world that makes them get to know more about music in the five continents. They play different musical instruments and get an idea on how an orchestra works.

    Science workshop in the afternoon! Students have fun learning by doing!

    Thursday 14th March

    Let’s dance together: Traditional dances workshop in the garden of Castello della Manta! Helped by a parent/dancer, students learn some traditional Italian dances. Then they have a guided visit in English of the medieval fortress (in the baronial hall they can admire one of the most breathtaking examples of secular late-Gothic painting)

    In the afternoon families organize a tour of Historic Saluzzo: they visit Casa Cavassa Museum and climb Torre Civica!

    In the evening we have the concert at Antico Palazzo Comunale:

    Some Italian student play guitar pieces, then the choir perform italian or traditional occitan songs. The last two pieces are performed by the Italian and the Polish students together. With E Malama, a traditional song from the Hawaii Island, students want to join Greta Thunberg and celebrate the Earth with its natural beauties.

    The last song is "Blowing in the wind" by Bob Dylan, performed in three languages, Italian, Polish and English.

    Friday 15th March

    Trip to Turin. First stop: Reggia di Venaria!

    Visit to the National Car Museum. Through the evolution of the motor car, students touch on transverse themes such as art and design, sport and show business, ecology, advertising, fashion and music.

    Students have a pic-nic in Parco del Valentino and visited the Borgo Medioevale, the realistic reconstruction of a typical medieval castle.
