Slovenians celebrate St Martin's Day on 11 November.

Our students did some research on how 11 November was celebrated in Brda in the past. For that purpose we organized two workshops with expert Mrs Darinka Sirk, who told us about the customs connected with this day in the past and showed us how to make wine rosaries called "tercenti" and a sort of predicting apples called "martinci". These were old traditions that died out after WW1 but that Mrs Darinka is trying to revive.

The students also made a presentation on St Martin's Day's customs in the past based on teh book Ivanov venec, which was mostly written by Mrs Darinka Sirk.
