Participants learn about past and present work migration: internal migration, e.g. the emigration of Sicilian people in the northern parts of Italy and emigration to other European countries and abroad during the last centuries and today. We interview contemporary witnesses who emigrated and came back and young students if they would like to emigrate as well and why.
We compare the migration movements of the Sicilian people with the ones in the other partner countries and the conditions for job immigrants in Europe in the past and today, the types of jobs they applied and apply for and their integration and contribution into the receiving society.
Students present their collected objects for the migration exhibition and the interviews related to the items chosen.
