Positive and negative aspects of species' migration
The partners learn about the positive and negative aspects of the migration of species. There are numerous examples of positive introduction of non-native species such as potatoes from America, tangerines from China, the cultivation of wine spreading from the Mediterranean to Northern and Eastern Europe. The negative ones are invasive plants and animals which threaten and endanger endemic species.
Before the meeting in Croatia students had researched about invasive plants and animals and their consequences in the local environemnt and was working on an online brochure in an app called „Canva“., https://www.canva.com/online

During the meeting, students created an animated film about plant and animal migrations (available in https://vimeo.com/322195075) as well as prepared and performed a theatrical performance about species migration.
The following links refer to the partners' research about invasive plants and animals and their consequences in the local environemnt.

An obstacle
Every team chooses a wire or a wall (obstacle) that has in the past (or currently) stopped the migration of people, animals or plants in its teritorry.
Greek team: Frontex Europe has recently been facing a huge migration crisis. FRONTEX is a European organization which was established in 2005 tasked with border control through the cooperation among national border guards of the European Schengen Area.
Frontex patrols along the border of Europe with the national agencies of the Member States aiming at identifying and decreasing illegal immigration, trafficking in human beings and blocking the terrorists.
The efficiency of this Organization could be evaluated in terms of the multitude of the refugees and migrants who have entered Europe as well as those drowned in the Mediterranean Sea.
