DAY 2 - DAN 2

  • Utorak, 10. 10. 2017.

2nd day of course “Digital tools for students with special needs“

Psychotherapy of the clients with different kinds of disorders with the use of digital technology was the content of today's work. The main digital tool is the „PaINTeraction“ system, software based on video and audio feedback of movements.

In therapeutic approach to a 12-years old boy with intellectual development disorder an interactive technique the „PaINTeraction“ are being used. .

The tool provides the recording of body movements and gesticulations which are displayed on the monitor. It is used for improvement of the motor coordination. The same tool allows learning of letters and voices with a help of a monitor on which the sensations the boy tried to imitate are displayed.

In the therapy of a 4-years old autistic boy „PaINTeraction“ was used with an aim to establish a stable emotional relationship with the therapist through observing the movements produced by the boy and the therapist respectively. The software detected their movements and gestures on the screen which seemed overlapped and with the bright traces but with no physical contact.

The objective of the session with a group of psychotic patients was to make their imaginary world closer to the real world. The practical session, namely completing of the assignment, was video recorded and than displayed on the screen so that patients were able to observe their behaviour. The purpose of this was to reduce the difference between the real and the imaginary world of their own.

The therapy of a 14-years old autistic boy was the last one. A digital technology was used for stimulating the sensorial channels with vibrations, sound, music and light as well.
