    An Interview for RADIO VIA

Here is a link to the broadcast of our local RADIO VIA in which children from the Polish team from Rzeszów speak about the value of reading books. The students say that books are source of knowledge and joy. The children report what books  have they read, claim that they prefer books to computer games, and that they achived the highest number of read books in our school during the school year 2016/2017. My comment is that participating in the Read and Share project motivated the children to reach for the book and I am very proud of them.

A Polish author of stories and books for children from Rzeszow Nina Opic watched the slides describing the adventures of Read and Share. The author was delighted with the commitment of teachers and pupils and the wonderful results of our work. Here's what she wrote to the project partners.
    Wishes to Alladin!
I visited children at the Elementary School No. 10 in Rzeszow today and saw the achievements in the Read and Share project. With delight I watched them enter the world of books by moving to different lands, experiencing adventures, and getting to know other children by book wandering. If I ever meet Alladin I'll ask him to charm out books and people's friendship, books that teach love and life, and respect for books by children and adults.
Congratulations to all the wonderful project ! Writer, Nina Opic

On 26th May 2017 for the second time (this was the first time in early April) I presented parents of my students working in the project Read and Share. This time they mainly watched videos. Previously they were pictures and works of children. Parents expressed gratitude and great satisfaction with the activity of their children and the fact that the project contributed significantly to the development of reading interests both at school and at home.

From January to April 2017 we hosted interesting people from our city, who are passionate about reading books. Some of them are well-known in our town. For example vice-rector of University of Rzeszow, District Court Judge, a writer or Father Adam. We informed them about our commitment in the Read and Share eTwinning project and we explained what the European school cooperation is?
