The purpose of this Reasearch Center is the study of the atmosphere (hurricanes, weather forcast, global warming)

14:00 Kelonia Turtles care center
We went to Kelonia, a turtles observatory. We learn the life of turtles from their birth to their return to the beach to lay. We learn 3 different turtles: Leatherback turtle (this king of turtle isn't in Reunion Island); Green turtle and Nested turtle. We see turtles in the aquarium. Some of them are in Kelonia because there are sick or hurt so healers take care of them. Later, turtles can return in the ocean when they healed.

French teachers share their experience of working in astronomical projects and their use in everyday work with young people.
French teachers will share their experiences in working in a multicultural environment (presentation by students)

Astrolabe : how does this instrument work?
These Astrolabes are calibrated for Reunion. They have been machined by students from a technology school in Paris in a partnership with Science reunion, a local association for the promotion of Science, who provided us 10 of them.
Due to bad weather, the observation with the ARECA have been cancelled.
