Gold Soup

  •       Materials needed:

    Yoghurt (500 ml), water(500 ml), a cucumber, garlic, salt, oil, walnuts, dill(an aromatic annual herb of the parsley family, with fine blue-green leaves and yellow flowers. The leaves and seeds of dill are used for flavoring and for medicinal purposes.) , a spoon, knife

         Steps:

     - Cut the cucumber into little pieces and add 1-2 teaspoons salt.
     - Stir the yoghurt.
     - Mix cut cucumbers with well mixing up yoghurt.
     - Stir again, add 2 tablespoons oil and water (slowly).
     - You can add dill, minced garlic.

     - Taste this fresh cold soup.
     - Make conclusions.

         Outcomes:

    During the experiment the children will find out that different spices (salt ,oil, dill,garlic) and cucumber change taste of the yoghurt.

    Learns that oil is lighter than water.

    Learns that salt dissolves in water.

                 Learns that this cold soup is delicious and useful.
