Water in three states of aggregation
Goal of the experiment:The discovery of water in solid, liquid and gaseous states.
Tasks of the experiment:
- Describe the properties of water.
- Identify water in the three states of aggregation.
- To observe melting ice in warm water.
- To observe hot water evaporation.
Materials needed: Ice cubes, hot water, cold water
Steps of the experiment:
Prepare the ice cubes and pots with cold water and hot water.
Pour hot water into the bowl and see how it evaporates.
Put ice cubes in hot water.
Notice how the melting ice cube.
With this experiment the children turn water from solid state to the liquid and gaseous. As the water is warm so the ice cube melts faster. When the water is very hot it evaporates and turns to gas.
