  • World Day of Pulses was celebrated on February 10th and at our school we held a workshop with the owner and chef of a vegetarian, vegan and macrobiotics restaurant Alanda - Ms Alena Dudasova. She showed us the preparation of several meals based on chick peas and lentils which were so delicious that even the typical meat-eater said they would like to eat it again. ;)

    Baking of Doughnuts

    The period before Lent is connected in Slovakia with baking of donoughts. They are usually prepared from yeast dough which is fried in oil and they are served with icing sugar and marmelade.
