3.1. Spain (Teachers)

  • We had our First Transnational Meeting in November and it was a great opportunity to finally meet the partners face to face.

This LTT  activity was focused on setting the basis of our project and training the teachers in the methodologies that will be used throughout the two-year project.

    It included the following activities:
    - Getting to know each other (team building activities).
    - Presentation of each partner school.
    - Student performance.
    - Trainings: Project Based Learning Methodology, Cooperative Learning, eTwinning, Interactive groups and ICT.
    - Flamenco workshop.
    - Visiting the school facilities.
    - Class observation.
    - Outdoor yoga session with students.
    - Meetings to talk about the organization of the project.
    - Cultural visits: Malaga (downtown and the beach), Ronda, Frigiliana and Nerja.
    - Traditional food tasting.

The execution of the mentioned activities led to the start-up of the project bases.
The meeting activities were fundamental to create bonds between participants moving towards a cooperative and motivated working environment, professionally trained in the methodology to be used throughout the project.

    LO-VE PROJECT TEAM

    CZECH REPUBLIC'S EXPERIENCE

LO-VE is the first Erasmus+ project our school is involved in so we were pretty excited about going to Málaga and meeting our partners. Our team consisted of the coordinator Libuše Kohutová, Arts and Czech language teacher Lucie Kalužová and Nature Science and Geography teacher Tomáš Minks. For the three of us it was also a great opportunity to get to know better as I am new to our school. I think we really enjoyed the time together as well as the time we spent with our partners. Moreover, the logo created by our pupils was chosen by Spanish pupils as the best one. What a pleasant surprise!

I believe that these face-to-face meetings are crucial. One thing is to be in touch and discuss stuff via smartphone apps but to meet the people in person is great. Now I can connect the names of people I am chatting to to their real faces and this makes the discussion more personalized. Also, it is beneficial to learn about other educational systems, compare them, discuss the similarities and differences and learn from them. I was so surprised by the Spanish school. All the kids seemed so happy and relaxed. And their ability to speak English was very good.
I would like to thank Maria and the Spanish school team for a great organization, everything went smooth and we had a great time. The training was beneficial, too. I have already tried several of the ICT tools you showed us like Quizziz and I love it.
