1.1. Objectives

  • Main objectives are:

-Foster social inclusion through innovative and cooperative methods.
-Make learning outdoors an integral part of daily learning activities.
-Share this experience with other countries in order to build international connections.
-Teach the students how to use technologies wisely.
    -Train teachers in innovative methodologies.

The participation in this project will contribute to the personal development of students, teachers and
families in the long-term. Here is how:
    Students:
By the end of the project, pupils will have achieved the stated objectives which will help them in their
personal, student and professional careers. They will:
    - Have learnt to live and work respectfully, democratically, cooperatively and responsibly.
    - Have developed social and intercultural competences by promoting equity and inclusion.
    - Have developed positive attitudes toward spending time and learning in the natural environment.
    - Be able to use technologies in a sensible way.
    - Be able to use basic skills and develop key competences to solve problems in real-life situations.
    - Be familiar with each stage of the scientific method.
    - Have cultivated awareness, knowledge, appreciation, and concern for the natural environment.
    - Have increased knowledge about other countries.
    - Have international connections.
    - Have improved their English skills.
    - Have developed positive attitudes toward having healthy habits and cultivating their physical
    fitness.
    Teachers:
As we mentioned previously, every host school will offer teaching observing, share good practices,
and provide training about educational methodologies and tools. Therefore, once the project is over
teachers will be more knowledgeable and satisfied with their jobs: they will be able to implement
project-based learning, cooperative learning, inclusive education and ICT in their classrooms and
thus provide a higher quality education to their students.
    Families:
After participating in many of our activities, families will become more involved in school education.
They will have enough resources to be able to organise and arrange learning situations within the
family environment in daily life. Furthermore, they will be aware of the sedentary lifestyle risks and the
importance of spending time outdoors, so we expect they will dedicate more time to outdoor activities
    with their children.
We plan to continue implementing the methodologies and activities after the project’s end:
The book LO-VE (a compilation of outdoor activities) will be very useful not only for teachers involved
in the project, but will also serve as a resource for other teachers who would like to carry out such
    activities.
Our schools will implement more outdoor activities every year: gymkhanas, creating outdoor projects
with PBL methodology, outdoor assemblies, reading outside, and yoga and meditation, among
    others.
The international club will keep going, we will propose new topics so our students can continue being
in touch and their lives will be enriched from having good international friends.
