Unfortunately, the COVID19 crisis interrupted the project and put a stop to the project activities in an abrupt fashion. The two-month lockdown period, and the subsequent gradual but partial reopening of our economies and borders, has had considerable impact on the project: the planned mobilities (short and long-term) have not been carried out, and there is still no clear perspective of any future exchanges.
Nevertheless, the lycée is still pursuing the sustainable development activities, albeit in a reduced fashion due to the many health and safety constraints. And, in June 2020, we obtained national certification for our work, with the ‘Eco-lycée’ label (focusing more particularly on waste reduction, garbage collection, greening and cleaning), from the Teragir Foundation, member of the Foundation for Environmental Education (more info: https://www.eco-ecole.org/ in French, and https://www.fee.global/ and https://www.fee.global/eco-schools-1 in English). We're especially proud of this recognition of our work, as it gives us a little hope in the future and encourages us to continue the work, in the difficult situation we all know.
This academic year 2020-2021, we hope to build upon last year’s successes and further disseminate the SDGs within our school community.
