Our kindergarten’s them was "At the supermarket”. Children had interesting role-play activities. They were talking about how to behave in a supermarket, what to do and where to go if you get lost. They’ve already discussed how to use and behave in escalators and lifts going up and down. One more very important thing to talk about was money and prices. The group was turned into a huge shopping center. Children were customers and shop assistants. While playing they remembered how to behave in the store. To be polite means to remember to say ,,hello” or ,,thank you” and etc. Trading, selling, buying, bargaining – everyone wanted to be an active participant. Playing game “Dress up a doll” girls enjoyed buying dolls and clothes for them, while boys were calculating how much did girls spend on clothes and etc. Different prices for different clothes – winter and summer seasons ask different outfits... and you can’t forget the fashion too – matching styles and colours is a hard work.
