October

In October, we clean and tend to our garden crates. The children can clean and tidy up in and around the drawers. We want the children to learn to care for and take care of the preschool's belongings and furniture. By helping to clean, clear weeds and recycle, they learn how to take good care of and prepare for next year's cultivation. We keep the perennials and hopefully they will bloom next year as well.

In October, we went to Latvia on a study visit. When we were there we got to see how Latvia worked with the project and how they work pedagogically with their children, what activities they do and what they teach their children. While we were in Latvia we also got new monthly themes to work with. We got to know that we would work with water during the November-February period
