Akrasel is a green-flag or eco-school where environmental and sustainable development is part of
the school's goals. It is important to teach children to respect their environment and nature. We focus
on discovery studies and give children the opportunity for diversity in play and learning. We focus on
outdoor education, yoga and healthy diet. Our motto is: NATURE – NUTRICION AND WELL
BEEING. A major element of graduate education is to take risks and cope with provocative
movements. An experience in nature is to fill the sense of fresh air, analyze the vegetation and listen
to the sounds that are heard from the environment. In Akrasel, students are equally qualified for
study. Emphasis is placed on inclusive education, early intervention, individualized learning, life skills
and domestic and kindergarten cooperation. Everyone has the same right to cultivate their skills no
matter what they are or where they come from. Why does Akrasel want to participate in this project?

contribute to the project? We believe we can contribute to the project's expertise in soil engineering
and the problems that may arise in such a process. We want to allow the project to monitor
developments in compos making but preschool is starting to use piles of molasses. Akrasel is also
cooperation with the municipality of Akranes in eco blu flag project. The main goal is to keep our
shoreline clean and the environment around our home town.
