  • 1. WASTE PAPER COLLECTION

Every year, class 9 students, organize a waste-paper collection in the local area. The whole community gets involved. The paper collected is then taken to the recycling centre in Škofja Loka.

1 tonne of waste paper collected saves:

    • 17 mature trees,
    • 26 497 litres of water,
    • 2.74 cubic m of landfill space,
    • 2 barrels of oil.

17 tress also absorbe 113 kg of carbon dioxide from the air in a year.

And our students collected 21,7 tonnes of waste paper, so they saved:

    • 369 trees,
    • 574 985 litres of water,
    • 59.45 cubic metres of landfill space,
    • 43.4 barrels of oil.

All the saved trees can now help clean the air.
