  • 1. ALTERNATIVE WAYS OF USING RUBBISH

Rubbish is sadly all around us and it's only up to us what we do with it. Either recycling or using it to create something useful out of it. And that's exactly what students of class 7 have done with plastic bottles. They have turned them into COMFORTABLE STYLISH SITTING STOOLS! They will be placed in the school hallways and the students can use them during the schoolbreaks.

The bottles were brought together by students and teachers and after New Year break students first sorted the bottles according to the dimesions. Then they used sellotape to fix the bottled togheter in a chosen form of the stool. In the last step, the stools were lined with water & glue & newspapers or they were dressed in different waste cloth. Some stools were later also painted and decorated with drawings, others were left white.

    3. LET'S GET CREATIVE WITH NATURAL MATERIALS

The art assignment was linked to the topic of Ancient Greeks that the students talked about in History lessons.

The emphasis was on the arts and motifs that emerged in the field of sculpture, architecture and painting. Because mosaics are also characteristic of Greek art, the students cretaed natural mosaics. They used paper, veneer, cones, felt, fabric, leather, coffee beans, ... to imitate Greek motifs with this material.
