SHARING KNOWLEDGE
The students of Ruta7, a group of university students from all over Spain, in the middle of their trip through the eight Canary Islands, have been learning about the particularities of the vineyard cultivation system in Lanzarote, more specifically in the Protected Landscape of La Geria .
The students have collaborated with two farmers who take the grapes to the La Geria winery, in the grape harvest of the Malvasía grape, the first one that is collected on the island.
In addition to harvesting the student body has carried out practices to determine the degree of sugar in the grapes, with a refractrometer. During their day they have been able to see the different types of cultivation, in pit, ditches, shacks and farm side. The person in charge of energizing this activity was Professor Teno Osorio Castañeda of the Department of Agrias of the I.E.S. Teguise, and coordinator at its center of the Erasmus project 2018-1-ES01-KA201-049936, Enocultura. Start of oenology in Europe. Preiloxérico grapes. COMPARTIENDO CONOCIMIENTO
El alumnado de Ruta7, un grupo de universitarios de toda la geografía española, en medio de su viaje por las ocho islas Canarias, han estado conociendo las particularidades del sistema de cultivo de la viña en Lanzarote, más concretamente en el Paisaje Protegido de La Geria.
El alumnado ha colaborado con dos agricultores que le llevan la uva a la bodega La Geria, en la vendimia de la uva malvasía, la primera que se recolecta en la isla.
Además de vendimiar el alumnado ha realizado prácticas de determinación del grado de azúcar de la uva, con un refractrómetro. Durante su jornada han podido ver los diferentes tipos de cultivo, en hoyo, zanjas, chabocos y laterales de finca. El encargado de dinamizar esta actividad fue el profesor Teno Osorio Castañeda del Departamento de Agrias del I.E.S. Teguise, y coordinador en su centro del proyecto Erasmus 2018-1-ES01-KA201-049936, Enocultura. Inicio de enología en Europa. Uvas prefiloxéricas. Desde aquí queremos agradecer a la empresa MJC Ambiental que contara con nuestro profesor y que al acabar la actividad las tijeras de podar que se compraron para realizar la vendimia las hayan donado para el I.E.S.
