MONUMENTAL SHOPPING CONTEST

  • One of the project's goals is to spread our knowledge about cultural heritage  to other citizens living nearby. 

    This activity aims to let students of other grades, parents and people from our towns to foster the feeling for our cultural heritage and get them inveolved in our project entering the contest.

    Everything is getting ready to go to the school's neighbourhood and display the poster in the different shops of our towns.

    The participant pupils of the project will explain the task to their partners of other grades, to the parents coming to school. They will also go to some of the shops of the towns to explain them about the contest and ask them if they allow them to hang the poster somewhere in the shop and let the people fill in the chart and participate the contest .

    Here is the poster, which will be trasnlated into Greek, French, polish, Italian and Catalan to be displayed all around.

    February started, and so the MONUMENTAL SHOPPING CONTEST

    Pupils from the five countries are busy preparing the charts, posters, boxes, in order to deliver them around their neighbourhoods and ask the citizens of the different towns to participate in the Monumental Shopping Contest.

    The activity lets the children to enhance their autonomy, responsibility and self steem, as they find in front of adults in the town asking them to participate in a Constest organized by the school.

    Pupils from Navàs busy preparing boxes, posters and envelopes just the day before going to deliver them into the town:

    And finally, on Friday 2nd February, they organized in pairs to go to: the Town hall, some shops , restaurants, hairdressers and also the school. They brought the poster, the box with an evelope with the charts to participate. Next Friday they will go back there and take the boxes in order to count and see how many pepole have participated and also how many of them have guessed the monuments.

     

    Monumental Europe Shopping Contest

    Yesterday we started the Monumental Europe Shopping Contest, parents, teachers and children went to the Town Hall, Local Shops and to Antonio Gramasci Museum! 

     

    MONUMENTAL SHOPPING CONTEST WINNERS

    Friday 16th February, Sant Josep school, Navàs

    Pupils opened the 10 boxes and counted the number of participant charts, then selected all the charts with the 5 correct responses and finally they raffled one of them to find the winner.

    As France had prepared the Poster for the contest, Italy created the diploma for the winners.

    So we gave the winners the diploma and a little gift .

    Here are the memories of this event

    Pupils experienced how to explain the others an activity prepared with other parnters from other countries of Europe. They learned basic key competences as team work, sharing tasks, ideas, being responsibles , polite and respectful with people. it has become a very wide and enjoyable activity.
