Didactic comment:

Our aim was to create a situation where pupils could use their language skills and communicate successfully. According to a realistic train situation they pretended to meet during their journey in a train. For weeks pupils from different countries took turns to answer and ask questions. Here both social competence and media literacy were important.

Our pupils

• formed questions
• answered questions
• gave information about their home towns/ countries
• created pictures of "mobile phones" and local buildings
• explained their reason for doing the journey
• recorded their dialogues via Voki (Polish group)
