Have you ever related Maths to cooking? Jumbo Breakfast Roll.

For this workshop, we decided to look at 2 aspects of Maths in cooking: Weight and calories.  In Ireland the Jumbo Breakfast Roll became a popular breakfast for labourers on the go, as it gave them enough energy to get them through to lunch.  Now everyone likes the breakfast roll but are they using the energy it gives or is it aiding obesity.  The workshop was to allow everyone to calculate how much energy was in their roll and then to discover if they use that amount of energy.  Below find some pictures and the worksheets.
