In Iceland teachers will get a workshop about using the method of students conference and the professional background that Grunnskólinn á Ísafirði uses for the democratic work with students. We will also held a students conference about human rights. That involves leadership training for students. Students will talk together, in an organized manner, in groups about what is human rights, what can prevent people from having assess to it and what individuals as a normal citizens can do to increase the likelihood for them selves and others to benefit/have assess to human rights. Also what society can benefit from keeping up to human rights for every citizen. This work is part of teaching democracy to students and leadership training. Teachers will also get a introduction of ,,Real restitution" as a special program help student to build self-control and responsibility.
Student will visit the Red Cross and get some education about refugees and the the process that refugees need to go through to enter the country. In Iceland they will also be offered lecture from a refugee either from Syria or Nigeria about how it is to start a new live in totally different circumstances form what you know in all aspects. In all visits one group will make a special newsletter for the project and for this visit it will be maid of students from Bulgaria.
