1st transnational project meeting in Estonia

  • FIRST TRANSNATIONAL PROJECT MEETING IN ESTONIA 20.NOVEMBER 2017

    20.November was the first day that the project coordinators of Erasmus+ I LOVE SCIENCE! met in Estonia.
    The day was busy and many important decisions where made regarding the implimentation of the project in our schools and kindergartens.

    After a cup of coffee the director Merle of Nõlvaku Kindergarten greeted the guests and the 6-7 year olds class with the name Allikalapsed (Children of the Spring) performed with some national songs and dances of Estonia. Also the project coordinators where invited to join in the dancing and playing traditional singing song games. The children and the Nõlvaku Kindergarten staff where wearing traditional or stylized traditional costumes.

     

    After the greetings the project coordinators where taken on a tour of the kindergarten to meet the children and the joyful staff.

       

    Together we also celebrated the birthday of teacher Laura. All the coordinators delighted Laura with a birthday song n their language.

    Teacher Kaia did a presentation on the topic of Estonian educational system https://prezi.com/view/woa7FSmM2kBy7lvvqQj0/
    and headteacher Karolin made a presentation about Nõlvaku Kindergarten and its valu-based education.

    All the participants had a chance to introduce their school with a small peresentation or a video and presents where given to remember eachother and introduce their country.

     

    After a traditional Estonian kindergarten lunch the participants discussed about the implimentation of the project:

    • The initial check list;
    • the initial questionnaire;
    • evaluation papers;  
    • observation documents;
    • the work program and types of activities for the clubs;
    • format of the science magazine and
      project magazines;
    • website for the project;
    • TwinSpace/E-Twinning;
    • Project logo;
    • Transnational learning/teaching/training activities;
    • Formalization of the work in the clubs.

    After the meeting and tasting the Estonian national food and a joint dinner, the students dance group Leesikad of the Tallinn French Lyceum  performed witha dancing- and singing programme. Also the guests where kindly invited to join in.

    After a long day of decisions and hard work all the participants took part in a excursion of Tallinn old-town.
