PROJECT ACTIVITIES

  • The working methodology of the I LOVE SCIENCE! project is stated on creating and developing practical experiments and activities for learning about theoretical knowledge that is written in the kindergarten curricula. The aim of the project is to  connect both types of knowledge and provide holistic learning.  

    The children are divided into themed "clubs" wich will performe different themed activities in a playful manner, so that the learning procedure would be hidden as a game. The teachers are the ones to help the children to carry out practical experiments and activities. The teachers will help the children to get familiar with Science, Maths, Technology and Language at a very young age. The children will be selected into the clubs according to their talents and interests:

    SCIENCE CLUB
    In this club, the main agenda is: 

    • Providing/planning and practising experiments (games) for basic knowledge
    • Leading kids to play games – the roles of scientists
    • Preparing and publishing SCIENCE MAGAZINE FOR KIDS
    • Introducing famous scientists and their products to kids by presentation at school

    MATHEMATICS CLUB
    In this club, the main agenda is:

    • Providing Maths games to be used in classes;
    • Organizing chess tournament (kids level);
    • Preparing numerical games and playing with kids:
    • Observing geometrical shapes outdoor;
    • Organizing orienteering activities for school pupils

    LANGUAGE CLUB
    In this club, the main agenda is:

    • Preparing a theatre play in the target language;
    • Song contest in English;
    • Role play activities at school hall;
    • Listening to songs in English and memorizing lyrics;
    • Organizing cinema days at school in the English language;
    • Inviting foreign famous people to school.

    TECHNOLOGY CLUB
    In this club, the main agenda is:

    • Organising educative computer games and playing them all together;
    • Organizing web-game competitions;
    • Creating a web-site of the project and running it (by teachers)
    • Creating e-Twinning accounts and running partnership (by teachers)
