What does Christmas mean for you?

  •  There you can read opinions of different teachers and pupils on Christmas. Some of them will be used in Christmas issue as the leading article :-)

    So for this issue of Xmas magazine we would like to find different ideas of Christmas. So Czech pupils asked their teachers question "What does Christmas mean for you?"

    There are some of their answers:

    Christmas for me means a mysterious atmosphere, a time together with my family and delicious food. (Ivana Cervanová, Czech)

    Christmas for me means a lot of visits to relatives, smell of cookies and a decorated Christmas tree. (Ivana Pechová)

    Christmas for me means delight in my daughter's eyes. (Hana Merhautová)

    Christmas means for me comeback to childhood, enjoyment, snowy landscape, meeting with the family and aroma of the Franciscans. (D. Vohnoutová)

    Christmas means for me peace of mind and watching fairy-tales on TV. (Leona Štěpánková)

    Christmas for me means well-being, a potato salad that  I really love and a visit to my grandmother. (Lenka Pechová)

    Christmas is a great and lovely holiday for me. It is very special and I love it very much. I always look forward to it. My whole family loves decorating the yard and whole house.     For me Christmas is celebration of human race. On Christmas, me an my family don't open presents firs, we first talk about how we liked this year and things like that.     Christmas is my favourite holiday. For me Christmas is when my whole family is together and we hang out. We decorate our Christmas tree, listen to Christmas songs and watch Christmas movies. My mother and my grandmother bake a lot of cookies. Children get a lot of gifts and they are very happy. The whole city is decorated with many lamps.
