During the 20th century, in Greece the “svoura” had its golden age in the 50s and 60s. At a time when there was no current game abundance, a "spin in the pocket" was a precious asset. We meet this toy with various names in Greece:” Fourla” in Macedonia, marsh, and "mygkaki" in Thessaly, and "treliaga" in the Peloponnese.Later, in the 1970s, the small wooden spinning toy begins gradually to resolve as an individual or group game, and today it almost disappears.
