Schedule of the meeting in Trikala 18 - 22 February 2019
1) Monday, the 18th of February.
Arrival day for all groups. We will be waiting for you and take you to the hotel.
20:00 - Welcome dinner
2) Tuesday, the 19th of February.
09:00 - Meeting at the hotel
09:30 - Arrival after a short walk through the city's pedestrian street at the “Kliafa History and Cultural Center” which operates as a Museum of Trikala and it aims to promote the local history of the last hundred fifty years.
10:45 - Arrival at the city`s Town Hall. Short meeting with the mayor.
12:00 – Arrival at school. Between 12:00 and 13:30 we will have a warm welcome by our headmaster, a musical greeting for all representatives, tour around the school`s facilities and a quick lunch with various traditional pies very characteristic for our region.
13:30 – 14:45 Job shadowing in music lessons as well as choir rehearsal.
15:15 – Short visit of the castle of Trikala. After that we take a walk through the streets of the Old Town.
18:30 – Visit of the old mill. One of the most important monuments of Greece`s industrial heritage
3) Wednesday, the 20th of February
08:00 – Meeting at the hotel and departure for our cultural excursion.
The museum “Theopetra prehistoric Cave.”
-Second stop at the digital projection centre of Meteora`s history and culture.
- Tour through the Meteora World Heritage Site and visit at least one or maybe two monasteries.
4)Thursday, the 21st of February
08:30 – Meeting at the hotel
09:15 – Arrival at school for a busy project day !!
First there will be job shadowing about involving music in foreign languages lessons.
Our PE teachers will demonstrate and teach to all participants a popular Greek dance.
13:00 – Lunch at school. Taste of home made Greek kitchen.
13:45 – 14:45 Teachers meeting. Discussion about the project accomplishment, further steps, mobilities, etc.
17:30 Meeting at the hotel. Visit of the “Tsitsani Museum” and attendance of a small concert. A tribute to the life and work of Greece`s great rebetiko master Vasilis Tsitsanis.
5) Friday, the 22nd of February
