  • In "Science 4 all" project we did everything what was planned and even more! In this page are published 'extra' results.

    1. "Estonian stairs" - an educational project in Poland

    A team of 6 students with PE and Maths teachers did a project invented during short-term exchange of group students in Estonia. One of visited places was Environmental Education Centre in Tartu. Stairs in this place were equipped with number of calories burned during going up the stairs. Polish students decided to do the same in own school! They first measured and weighed students of 2nd and 3rd classes, calculated average heigh and weight. Using dedicated apps they found energetical effort for climbing the stairs, compared it with Estonian data, printed and sticked numbers to the school stairs.

    2. Introducing CLIL teaching in Estonia

    Narva Kesklinna Gümnaasium is trying to be a modern and interesting teaching establishment for its students, creating and introducing different methods and technologies into the studying process. Due to the successful project „Science 4all“ and the future project NordPLus, CLIL method are actively developing through the teachers of our school. As a result, 9 teachers of Kesklinna Gümnaasium were encouraged with an idea of adoption CLIL methods into other subjects like Music, Handicraft, Nature Studies, Human Studies, Art and Physical training. Thus, these subjects are taught in English in the 6 th form. This year is quite new and difficult as for the students so for the teachers. Nevertheless, the programme for teaching with the CLIL methods is in the process of writing and these teachers are having gradual studying in order to succeed in this area.

     

    3. Project logo (Estonia, Portugal)

    Estonian and Portuguese teams created logos of the project. One of them became an official one.

     

     

    4. Printed emagazines (Poland, France, Estonia)

    e-magazines were planned to be done only online, but we found them as a very good resource of information on our project. They were printed in Poland, France and Estonia.

    5. Cups with logo (Estonia, Poland)

    The Estonian team did a project of a cup. They were done in Estonia (left) and Poland (right)

     

    6. USB memories (Poland)

    In Poland results were shared in USB memories, given to teachers and headmsters of schools in neighbourhood.

     

    7. T-shirts (Portugal, Estonia)

    Portuguese team did T-shirts given to the project participants.

     

     

     

     

    8. Paper folders (Poland)

    Polish team printed one of the posters (made by Estonian team) on paper folders. All students who finished the school in 2017/18 year got School Leaving Certificates in these folders.

    9. Recipe book (Portugal)

    Collection of traditional mediterranean recipes which were printed and handed in to students (Portuguese and their guests), parents and teachers. This book was produced with the collaboration of an Art teacher, two Science teachers, an English teacher, eleven students and their parents. It was printed before C5 and used by Portuguese students and their guests in the activity "discovering Portuguese traditional food due to peer learning - Maths and Science in the kitchen”. Two versions were created: an online and printed version.
