16th November - Information on the cluster website

10th October - Meeting with 8th grade students' parents

A total of 114 parents were invited. About half of that number was present.

The coordinator presented the project, how it was born, and its aims, planned activities, (national and transnational), and expected results and evaluation. The coordinators of the partner schools were briefly introduced, as well as the schools and the areas where they are located.

Parents were apparently very interested and asked many questions related to the local activities, planned mobilities and host families in other countries; they wanted to know if they will get information about the host families beforehand. They were also interested to know how the host families are going to be chosen.

Since the maths teacher is not the teacher of all classes, and neither is the science teacher, parents asked how other school teachers will benefit from what our team expects to learn. Parents were told that the team is aware of this matter and already collaborating with other classes' teachers, so they can also start using new methodologies in their classes.

The parents took the documents available (authorization of image use, will to participate in mobilities and host students from partner countries and also to have linguistic preparation in the beginning of school year 2017/18) and answered initial evaluation questionnaires.

Some parents regretted the fact that they have no conditions to accommodate other students at their homes.

At the end of the session some parents thanked the team for the work developed so far and wished us good luck.
