TRANSNATIONAL MEETING ABSTRACT

Headmistress Matteo welcomed  the consul of Portugal Dott. Pierluigi Rossi, on the behalf of the Consulate of Turkey Dott. Marcello Valentini, the President of the Local Tourism board of Mola di Bari and the project  coordinator prof.ssa Teresa Lacerda.

The coordinator was very happy to say that the project went on very well and happy to point out that thanks to a previous eTwinning contact and project  she had the possibility to involve the Italian school.

After the ceremony, all the project coordinators started working inside a  school’s laboratory.

The activities during the meeting were : write the final report; check the TwinSpace organization and products, think about the sustainability of the project, decide the ways to dissiminate the project (TwinSpace, Facebook,  Erasmus+ disseminate platform, newspapers and son on; make the project evaluation, check the mobility tool.

After the works all the delegations were involved in cultural activities.

The Consul of Portugal took the delegation though a  visit to the Old Town of Bari  walking through the picturesque alley and squares of “Bari Vecchia”, tasting the typical “barese”  street food, visiting the 2 main churches in Bari  (Saint Nicholas and Saint Sabino)  going on the famous sea shore drive and   talking with the old people around  Bari’s famous Mercantile Square.

The President of the Culture/Sport/Tourism Commission of the new Metropolitan City of Bari, brought the delegations through the square of Torre a Mare Bari’s  southernmost suburb toward Brindisi. The President took the guest up on the roof of the famous Saracen Military Tower  for an official photo with the background of the sunset in the horizon on the Adriatic sea.

Afterwards, the guests went to a typical Apulian dinner in a classic “pizzeria” tasting the cuisine.

At the end of all the  works the delegations went to visit the unique Orthodox Russian Church in Bari “Carassi”, one of the oldest neighbourhood of the city.

Successively the delegations went to a traditional “grill – house” .

After dinner all the delegations shared gifts in  name of friendship and wished to meet for a new upcoming project.
