Sharing experiences with others in the country
Our Life is Math Around Us Erasmus project has aroused curiosity in the teacher community. The possibility of working mathematics differently, involving the use of Minecraft Education in the construction of monuments, virtual reality (VR), panoramas, and how we can integrate into other learning subjects (History, Arts, ICT,...) have made the Erasmus+ project coordinator in Portugal invited to share our work. This time the teacher was invited by the Minho Teacher Training Center (CENFIPE) north of Portugal, to share the work developed in this project. You can check the presentation video below. On April 14, a publicity event for the project activities took place at the Lekėčiai School multifunctional centre. The students went to Osmaniye Private High School in Turkey and completed the activities planned in the project. They shared their impressions with peers and the school community. It is gratifying that the students emphasized a significant impact on their worldview and personality formation. “We’re completely different people now,” “we value our country very much,” “we’re proud to be students at this school,” and "we learned a lot of new there" are the phrases that came from the lips of the participants.

After talking with parents, teachers and students involved in the mobility the evaluation could be better. Everything went well and we kindly thank our Lithuanian partners for the magnificent reception. It was the first time all of us meet. We have done amazing things and studied math applying math concepts in the real world. We had an opportunity to visit and learn at Kaunas University and learn more about cultural heritage. C2, November 2021.
Jose Marques, a Portuguese partner was invited (11/11/2021) for an event related to its impact of it on education and how can we use and manage it in pedagogical activities. One of the activities presented by our partner was about Erasmus + project Life is math around us where he showed Minecraft buildings relating to math and history concepts. The event took place online and was organised by MindsetPlus and Microsoft Portugal.

Portuguese partners José and Alexandra from Agrupamento de Escolas Pedro Jacques de Magalhães, had a meeting with Lisbon Zoo to establish a partnership with Lisbon Zoo and Erasmus+ Life Is Math Around Us. We are preparing an activity relating to the animals and the concern and protecting their environment. It will be an activity about Math and Natural Sciences, and we hope it could be disseminated to other schools. In January responsible Zoo pedagogical experts will have a meeting with us and our students in our schools.
