    What is being a refugee? Being a Refugee is leaving your country; It is a person who is fearful of righteous reasons for persecution due to race, religion, nationality, a certain social group membership, or political interference, and who can not benefit from or enjoy the protection of his country, or who does not want to return to his country because of fear of persecution. This definition is included in the 1951 Convention on the Status of Refugees. In the Convention, the term “refugee” is adopted as an internationally accepted general  definition.
