         At the end of May, students who were actively involved in the project activities went on an excursion to Tervete Nature Park. There they would be greeted by the mother of the dwarves, who told the children about the forest and the fairy-tale characters made of it. The students were also told how to behave in the forest. At the end of the tour, the students scattered on the playground.

    Adazi secondary school class 2e, 2g 16.09. went on a excursion to Līgatne. Second graders got acquainted with paper recycling within the Erasmus KA2 project “Everything can be recycled, except the Earth”. One of the aims of the project is to promote students  awareness of environmental protection and material recycling by deepening their understanding of the importance of natural resources in human life and providing it through various activities. The second-graders got acquainted with the recycling of paper in a paper workshop in Līgatne under the direction of the painter Zinaida Ceske, who currently direct the paper art workshop “Viktora vēstules” in the Sigulda castle quarter. Pupils listened with interest to the artist interesting story about the origin of paper, making paper from silk, linen, cotton, listened to a fairy tale about the miraculous transformation of linen into books. The students with great enthusiasm created bookmarks from the pulp, decorated with plants, ornaments, various prints.
    By learning more about paper recycling, its importance and doing so, we can help make the environment much greener! Let's think green!
