Visit to St Julians

  • Following Covid-19, St Julian's Church school got creative with our virtual mobility.

The children were excited to welcome our partner schools to our school, our town and our local city.

When planning this virtual mobility, the children collated ideas, places and activities we would have normally completed if we had been able to welcome our friends from overseas!

The children in Year 5 and 6 worked collaboratively to create mini video tours of: St Julian's school, Wellow, Bath and local areas of natural beauty.

We tried to think about what areas we would have liked to have visited as well as showing off our ICT skills.

Have a look at our powerpoints and iMovies and see what you can learn about our local area in England.

Following the creation of these movies, we were lucky enough to have a live video chat with our friends in Denmark, Barcelona, Ireland and Bordeaux. Check out our pictures from the live session!

It was lovely to see each other and St.Julian's school were delighted to share a small snippet of our fantastic local area.

We spoke about how our core values link to the project as well as sharing international ideas on what we can do to demonstrate the 3 R's remotely.

Fingers crossed we get to speak with our international friends and continue to share our views on respecting each other, respecting the environment, re-using materials within our lessons and a push on recycling in each of our schools.
