FROM PIATGORAS TO GAUSS (October – December 2018). There will be weekly classes . During these classes students will - collect information about history of math, - learn about famous mathematicians and their achievements - make PREZI presentation about mathematicians.
In December there will be a meeting for school comunity (students and parents) to present results of this part of project

MATH AND GEOGRAPHY (JANUARY- MARCH 2019) There will be classes . During these classes students will a) plan their day trip: - work with maps to find possible route from A to B , choose the shortest one and convert centimeters to kilometers according to scale, and convert to miles - work out how long it might take to travel to their destination on a coach that averages a speed of Xkm/h (convert to m/h) -work out what time they would need to leave school in order to arrive at a specific time or what time they would get there if they left school at a specific time. b) calculate the difference in local times (partner schools) based on the difference in longitude c) Students based on the MAP and the perpendicular bisector identify a place that is halfway between the partner schools. They suggest a city where they could meet to have a similar length of travel. All students work will be placed on e-Twinning platform

IT IS BEAUTIFUL (April – June 2019) During weekly classes students will look for mathematics in art: perpendicular and parallel lines, symmetry, golden ratio, fractals, parabolic curves, Sierpinski’s triangle, platonic bodies. Students will draw or build different kind of shapes. They will look where they can find them in reality for example in architecture.
In June there will be exhibition in school hall with student’s works and photos of real examples.

After first year the survey will be for - students to examine their involvement in the project, their interest in activities,.... - teachers to measure their satisfaction, to examine whether the project helps to improve the workshops,... - parents to ask them if the project activities helped their children to deal with mathematics

Edison's strategy as an entrepreneur - how to save in bank - how to pay off a bank loan - How to earn by investing in the stock market. They will visit banks and have meeting with entrepreneurs
