We paid a visit to Neriman Çilingir Nursing Home as part of our second day project meeting activities. Romanian students acted a play that they themselves wrote, all of the students sang songs and teachers accompanied them. They had a chance to chat with the elderly and it was also a chance to bridge the gap between (three) generations. Towards the end of the visit students, teachers and the residents in the nursing home danced and had a good time. The activity seemed to highlight the idea that working hard to help foster others’ wellbeing is as important as fostering one’s own and even if the visit was a drop in the ocean, we managed to entertain the hosts in the nursing home and put a smile on everyone's face.
