2.8. March 2019 in Cassà de la Selva: ROGAINING

  • Racing into the Forest

Forests are spaces where we can enjoy nature, biodiversity but they can also be thrilling spaces where outdoor activities can be carried out in a responsible way.

Last weekend, students involved in the project Connecting Woods met at Can Vilallonga property within the Natural Park of Gavarres to take part in an orieteering race rogaining

This outdoor activity well-known in Central and Northern Europe  consists in locating as many points as possible within a forest within a previously set period of time.

Teams were formed by students, parents and teachers and had 10 minutes at the beginning of the activity to design a strategy to obtain the maximum number of points.

It was a fun activity where we all learnt a lot about each other and about the forest.
