SELF-DEFENSE - Spain
The students of 3rd of Secondary Education had a really different, interesting, practical, and funny lesson yesterday afternoon (February 18, 2020).
Two experts (Ángel García Soldado - 10 DAN, and one of his disciples) in "KAJUKENBO" came to the school gym and showed them this Martial Art, not really known, which combines techniques of other disciplines like Karate - Judo -
Kenpo and Boxing. It was developed in Hawaii as a personal defense method against the criminals of the area.
The first thing they taught our students was that it is a self-defense martial art and that it mustn´t be used to attack anyone, but just to defend ourselves if we are attacked.
SELF-DEFENCE - Austria
All the girls of our last grade learned lots of useful information about self-defence and could try out special techniques and grips to defend themselves in case of attack. Most importantly, the trainer Christian Kopp (www.kopp-fit.at) showed them how to de-escalate dangerous situations before using force. "Hit and run" is one of the ideas, but you have to know how and where to hit your opponent. Being prepared and knowing how to react quickly, using body language and easy tricks to avoid getting into trouble were the main parts of the fantastic training which the girls really enjoyed.
SELF DEFENCE - ESTONIA
The students from Ridala Primary school learned self-defense in Haapsalu sports club. Training took place on the 3rd of March 2020. They met a really good expert Mairon Lepik. The students practiced different self-defense techniques and learned how to solve risky situations calm and peacefully.
ITALY
Unfortunately, the Italian School planed the Sef Defence training for March 2020 but because of Covid-19 the schools in Italy were closed at the beginning of March 2020 and the teachers could not propose the training to the Italian students.
We wanted to plan the training for Autumn 2020 but the new anti-covid-19 rules in the Italian schools didn't allow the teachers to organize the training. However, during the videoconference on November 24th, 2020, the Austrian coordinator teacher could show a video about self-defense and some exercises online, and also the Italian Team could receive some information about this task.
Thanks to the Austrian Team and to the Austria Cordinator teacher!
