Expert talk: Dr. Ubaldo Occhinegro

  • When you talk about the Golden Ratio you surely think about the misterious Castel del Monte, an extraordinary building that we are lucky to host near us, in Puglia.

Therefore, we were pleased to invite the architect Ubaldo Occhinegro to our school to talk about his essay, written in collaboration with the architect Giuseppe Fallacara, “Caste del Monte. New comparative theory about the monument identity” and discuss about the amazing hypothesis on the probable function of this monument.

“Sitting on a stone bench placed at the first floor, looking at the unexplainable holes in the pavements and at the many building details, I begun to elaborate linked thoughts, those which represented the main intuition about the possible “revelation of the mystery” and so the earliest stages of this research. Since that day, it began a fascinating path of research that still involves my mind."
