    In Poland in November/December the temperature is below 10°C, but seldom below 0°C. There is a high probability of rainfall at this time of the year. I recommend you to take:

    • sweaters/sweatshirts
    • long trousers
    • thicker tights if you want to wear a skirt
    • high socks
    • waterproof shoes
    • coat/ jacket preferably with a hood
    • scarf
    • beanie
    • thin gloves

    2. What to buy as a gift from Gdynia for your family and friends? by Weronika & Weronika

     

    If you want to take "a piece of Poland" with you, you definitely should buy some nationally-connected sweets and the souvenirs! Our traditional patterns and designs are really beautiful and recognizable. And the sweets...well...You can share it with your friends and family in your country, it's sweet and tasty, and... POLISH!

    1. PRINCE POLO WAFFLES
    These waffle bars coated with chocolate with the cocoa cream inside are strongly connecred with our country. These sweets are really old... The first bar was made in 1955!

    2. PTASIE MLECZKO
    Soft, white cream in chocolate (or caramel, or white chocolate...etc.) These sweets are really famous around the world and, you can believe me, really tasty!

    3. KRÓWKA
    Caramel candies. You can find them in many different kinds of consistency- hard, melted inside, creamy... And flavours- coffee, toffee, strawberry, cream... Every kind under the sun!

    4. DELICJE
    Soft biscuit in chocolate with friuty jelly inside. We have it in many flavours and kinds of chocolate. These cookies were made in 1976 and people around the world love it.

    5. JEŻYKI
    Little hedgehogs 🦔
    These cookies are EXTREMLY sweet, with caramel, nuts, fruits and chocolate.

    6. FAMILIJNE WAFFLES
    Name of these sweets in Polish means that they are perfect for your family. It's true- big pack and many waffles with really tasty cream (big variety of flavours) inside!

    7. CZEKOLADKI KRAKOWSKIE
    These candies are delicious and also really polish, because the production started in 1910 . Chocolates are filled with the cream, nuts, coco and nougat.

    8. TRADITIONAL, POLISH PATTERNS AND SOUVENIRS
    Traditional, polish patterns are connected with flowers and nature, and they are different in several parts of Poland. In the picture you can see the łowicki pattern, and in Gdynia we have the kaszubski pattern.

     

    3. What to see in Trójmiasto (3 cities - Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia closely connected)? by Klaudia & Natalia

    GDYNIA

    Gdynia Beach and Marina - large place, where a lot of tourists come on holidays, but also on cool winter evenings to nearby restaurants.

    Sea Towers - skyscraper places next to the water with an amazing sea view.

    Gdynia Downtown - plenty of streets with many good restaurants and shops.

    Boulevard - a long promenade that goes along the sea line.

    Opener Festival - a huge music festival that takes place every year in Gdynia.

    Orłowo pier - a beautiful place for and an evening walk with a wonderful view on Orłowo Cliff.

    Kamienna Góra is a hill in Gdynia center, recently it has been renovated. Now there is music stage and beautiful park. We can also see panoramic view ow the coast. To get there we can walk or take a ropeway.

    GDAŃSK

    Museum of World War II-modern museum that shows different parts of the world and the influence of the Great War on the countries.

    Mariacka street-on it stands one of the biggest and oldest catholic churches in Europe

    Neptune's fountain-located next to the old town hall and in front of Artur court

    Długa street-this is the main street of the older part of Gdańsk. It is surrounded by colourfull and ornamented buildings.

    European Solidarity Centre-museum dedicated to the Polish resistance movement that was fighting for workers rights and help to free Poland from communism destroying the Iron Curtain

    Park Oliwski-Beautiful park with gardens. Many events are held in there like concerts. Every winter it is gorgeously spruced up making it look like a little snow village

    Westerplatte-place where WWII started. As of today, there are some remains of old bunkers, infographics, and a monument

    The Old Town-most known and recognizable part of Gdańsk. It is mostly standing out because of its architecture. Buildings are mostly made out of red bricks.

    SOPOT

    The Crooked house - an unusually shaped building in Sopot. You can find there some shops, restaurants and coffehouse

    Bohaterów Monte Cassino Street - the most popular street in Sopot. There are numerous restaurants and night clubs. That place is full of life at any hour!
