  • Our city

Baza is an Andalusian city and municipality located in the northeast of the province of Granada, a few kilometers away from the Sierra de Baza Natural Park.

Baza offers visitors interesting museums, peaceful Moorish alleys with houses and caves, and entertaining celebrations as the Cascamorras, declared of National Tourist Interest.

“La Plaza Mayor” is one of the most popular sites in our city. In the Plaza Mayor, we can find the town hall, one of the main museums of the city and a very big square.

The most popular monument in Baza is “La Dama De Baza” which is shown in Madrid into the “Museum of Prado”. We have a roundabout to enter into the city center. This traffic circle is popular because it has a copy of this monument (La Dama De Baza)

The most important mountain in Baza is “Sierra de Baza”, shared with Caniles, a village nearby Baza. In this mountain, we have many fauna, and a very big forest, full of animals and vegetation.

Other important monuments are the different churches built in our city like “San Juan”, “La Merced”, “Santiago” and the most important is “La Iglesia de la Encarnación” called to “Main Church”, which is a concathedral of Guadix
