Mythical Cars

  • October 2016:

In this section, the students will display their work about the project Mythical Cars. They will present the mythical cars of our three partner countries. The aim of this project is to make them think about what a mythical car is. The idea is also to have them discover the evolution of cars so that they can understand that the Renault Zoé has opened the era of a new type of cars: electric and environment  friendly vehicles. So in class, they also studied the question "why a car can be remembered as mythical?". They came on to various definitions that they shared on a padlet. Then, they created short films to present examples of mythical cars. Eventually, they express their own and personal ideas about what a mythical car is.  Their achievement was displayed during the Italian mobility of the Eramus + project "e-Day car". In France, this topic matches the curriculum in the subject English as the students must study the notion "Myths and heroes" in relation with a technical aspect.

    May 2017:

The pages (numbered above) that you are going to discover are the achievement of three-year collaborative work. Throughout these three years, we got to know each other better, teachers as well as students. Consequently, we managed to organise to work -as you shall see - in an even more collaborative way than during the first two years.

Here is an insight of our two first year's work.

First, we did start our collaboration preparing the first French meeting of the Erasmus + project "e-Day Car" throughout the school year 2016-2017. The students of the project worked on the topic "the D-Day landings in 1944 and the technological aspects". In group of five, they prepared short films relating their visits of the tourists sites dedicated to this landings and the technological aspects. Then, during the second year of the project (2015-2016) the students collaborated on the twinspace on the topic of  "communication". They studied the evolution of the means of communication from World War II to now. They had to create documents about the means of communication used by the armies during the war and during the French meeting in March 2016 they visited "The Bunker" at the Memorial for Peace of Caen, a place dedicated to telecommunication during the D-Day landings.
