GREECE

  • In November, we were very happy to welcome at school Mr Panagiotis Melakis, who is a beekeeper. He brought a lot of interesting things with him. We saw his special uniform and hat and much of his equipment. He told us everything about bees and we asked him a hundred questions! We also tasted his delicious honey. Bees are very interesting insects after all...

We also had a very interesting visit in January. We visted "Tritsi Park", the biggest of the country. It is situated in the middle of the city and it was amazing to see how many birds live in it! We met a lot of different kinds of birds, we searched for their nests, we learned about the way they find their food in the park and we found out which trees and bushes are important for their surviving there. It is so rare to find yourself walking in such an open space when you live in the city centre!

    We really enjoyed it!
