  • STUDENTS VISIT ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDEN

In September 2015 our  students visited the Arboretum in Volčji Potok and Botanical Garden in Ljubljana. They learned about plant’s organs: flower, leaf, roots and stem. Before returning home they visited an exhibition of cactuses, orchids and butterflies. They had a nice time and saw some amazing plants and animals. To make our school more beautiful some of our students planted a willow tree near the river next to the school yard.

    UNUSUAL VISITORS AT OUR SCHOOL

Society »Ambasadorji nasmeha« (translated as “Ambassadors of smile”) was founded in 2005. It's Slovenian society for animal assisted therapy. Today they have 40 active Pet Partners Teams (all volunteers) working in several facilities. They are located in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia.
They visitied our school and brought some amazing animals with them. Our children with special educational needs loved them.

Hunters have a vested interest in ensuring not only that there is wildlife to hunt but also nature to enjoy. One of them visited our school and shared his experiences with our pupils. He brought a special guest with him. Can you guess who?
