LATVIA

  • In Latvia pupils spend a lot of time inside their classrooms. That is why they are very happy every time they can have lessons or activities outside in fresh air. There are so many things in nature they can examine and learn about.

Every autumn our pupils learn about edible and not edible mushrooms. At first they learn from the books and then go to the forest and do some practical tasks and then make an exibition at school.

In September we created the "Barefoot path" from different nature materials. The children enjoyed walking along it and feeling the texture of the objects.

Every class also had to make a mill from the nature materials outside in fornt of the school.

Pupils took part in Poetry day, they visited the home of the famous poetess Aspazija and after the activities enjoyed lunch in fresh air.
