C4 - France, Cluny

  • The C4 -trip went to France, Cluny, were the students were to learn more about creating green energy and electricity. The guests were met with an introduction and a treasure race at the school. This was created as an ice-breaker for the students to get to know each other better.

As customed in this project the students had their national presentations, which you can see here below (pictures from the week).Afterward, the students were divided into international groups and later on in the afternoon we visited the engineer school: wood factory.

Throughout the week, we visited a lot of companies. Both to gain the student's knowledge and also to disseminate the Flagship project outside of our schools. The trips went to a thermal laboratory and insulation; in Macon we visited SYSDEL that creates positive energy building and green electricity.

Furthermore, we also visited recycling company, SIRTOM, for positive energy building; a hydropower plant in Genissiat; and last but not least: Ecopart in Lyon.

Besides this the students also had spare time to sociolize and get to know each others cultures better. France gave them the opportunity to eat together at the school, and in the evening they spent time together eating at restaurants.

Furthermore, the visitors recieved som guided tours in Cluny, amongst others. This to get to know the French culture better, and not only the culture of the travelling visitors.

Simultaniously, as all the trips happened, the students also worked hard in their international groups. By the last day they did their presentation on how to build flexible houses with green electricity.
